Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
Information entered into a search box is sent to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the query under its own terms and returns its own results. We do not maintain a separate log of the names or case numbers entered into those partner tools.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If you send an email, the message and its contact details may be retained to respond and manage the communication. We do not sell that message information. It may be disclosed when a valid legal obligation requires disclosure.
Data We Gather Automatically
Like most web services, the site and its service providers may receive technical information connected with a visit, including:
- IP address and approximate network information
- Browser type, device type, and operating system
- Pages viewed, referrer information, and time spent on pages
- Visit timestamps and basic performance or error information
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies and similar tools may be used to understand traffic, site performance, and advertising activity. Browser controls can limit or block cookies, though some functions may then operate differently. Analytics information is typically aggregated and is used to assess site use rather than to create court-record profiles.
What We Do With This Data
Technical and contact information may be used to operate, secure, maintain, and improve the site; respond to a message; send a submitted query to its partner service; diagnose errors; measure traffic; and support advertising. It is not used to create consumer reports or to make decisions about another person.
No Court-Record Data on File
Roscommon County Court Docket does not host, compile, sell, or maintain a database of court dockets, case files, hearing calendars, or personal case-record information. It provides general navigation to official custodians such as the 82nd District Court, the County Clerk and 34th Circuit Court, Probate, and MiCOURT. It is not a consumer reporting agency, and visitor information is not assembled into a consumer report.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies power the search boxes on the site. A partner's privacy policy, collection practices, retention period, fees, and result limits govern information submitted to that partner. Review the partner's terms before sending personal information through its service.
Links to Other Websites
Links to courts, clerks, MiCOURT, and other resources lead away from this site. The operator of the destination website controls that visit and its privacy practices. Advertising partners may also use their own systems to measure activity or deliver advertising.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal data. Information may be handled by service providers that support the site, search partners that process a query, analytics or advertising providers, and government bodies or law enforcement when a legally valid request requires it.
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable administrative and technical measures are used to protect information in our possession. No online service can promise absolute security, and a visitor should avoid placing unnecessary personal or sensitive information into a public search field or email.
Users Under 18
The site is intended for adults and is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If a parent or guardian believes that a child has provided information through the site, they may request its removal through the contact information made available by the site.
Your Data Rights
Depending on applicable law, a visitor may ask about personal information held in connection with a direct communication, request correction of inaccurate information, or ask for deletion where law permits. Michigan Freedom of Information Act, MCL 15.231-15.246, governs many executive-branch public records, but judicial court files are excluded from ordinary FOIA treatment. Access to Michigan court records is instead controlled principally by MCR 8.119, and MCL 600.1988 addresses inspection, retrieval, and actual reproduction costs. A Roscommon County court-file request should go to the court that maintains it.
Updates to This Policy
We may revise this policy to reflect operational, legal, or service changes. The revised version takes effect when it is posted here. Please review the policy periodically if you want to follow those changes.
